How long have you been offering cleaning services?2021-02-12T16:06:37+00:00

Here at Golden Maids, we’ve been in business for over 19 years. We are proud to say we are the best-rated cleaning provider in Milwaukee.

Are the housekeepers that work for you employees or sub-contractors?2021-02-12T16:07:44+00:00

Every housekeeper who cleans for us is an employee. We do not contract our work out and all of our employees are fully screened.

Do you do a full check on the background of the employees you hire?2021-02-12T16:08:13+00:00

Yes, we do a full background check on every employee that is hired.

Do you offer any sort of discount for a referral to a friend or family member?2021-02-12T16:08:38+00:00

Absolutely. We encourage all of our satisfied customers to refer their friends and family and we reward you with 50% off a cleaning per referral.

Does the company have insurance?2021-02-12T16:08:55+00:00

Yes, our company is both insured and bonded and we prioritize our customer’s safety above all else.

What type of payments does your company accept?2021-02-12T16:09:23+00:00

We accept a variety of payment methods including credit cards and electronic payments using Zelle.

When am I required to pay for the service?2021-02-12T16:09:37+00:00

When you get our cleaning service, we expect you to pay on the day of cleaning.

Do I have to sign a contract to hire you for recurring cleaning services?2021-02-12T16:11:33+00:00

No, we don’t do contracts. Every customer is free to cancel at any time with at least 24 hours notice.

Is your business a franchise?2021-02-12T16:12:08+00:00

No, we aren’t a franchise.  We are independently owned and operated and a family run business.

What about my pets?2021-02-12T16:12:33+00:00

We care about all of your pets. If you have a cat, that is typically not an issue. While dogs are usually good when they are around our housekeepers, some of them can get nervous or scared and react due to the loud sounds of a vacuum. Because of this, we recommend keeping your dogs away or kenneled during cleaning service for the safety of both your pet(s) and our housekeepers.

Am I required to be home when you clean?2021-02-12T16:13:31+00:00

You certainly can be, but no, you don’t have to be home during your cleaning service. If you need to go run some errands or are at work, it’s not an issue.

What do I need to provide for the cleaning?2021-02-12T16:14:12+00:00

We want the very best for every one of our customers. Because of this, we recommend that you provide us with the cleaning equipment we will be using. This includes a vacuum, a brush, and a brush for your toilets. That way, we can use your supplies and we don’t cross-contaminate your home with our other client’s homes. This allows us to sanitize your home as well as possible.

What if I want to skip a scheduled cleaning?2021-02-12T16:15:01+00:00

If you are going to skip a cleaning service, we need to be notified at least a full 24 hours before your scheduled cleaning service. If you end up skipping a service within less than 24 hours, we will add $45 to your next cleaning bill. We suggest that you mark your scheduled cleaning on your calendar so you don’t forget.

What do I do if I need to change the day of my cleaning service?2021-02-12T16:15:28+00:00

You will be able to change your cleaning service to another day. Please contact us to give more than 24 hours of notice.

Do I need to tip your employee(s)?2021-02-12T16:16:19+00:00

While customary, you certainly don’t have to. Tips are never required or expected. They are appreciated though. If you feel our housekeeper performed his/her duties above expectations, a tip would be very appreciated.

Can you tell me how your cleaning services differ?2021-02-12T16:17:25+00:00

We offer multiple cleaning services. Our Deluxe and General service differ in level of cleanliness and what is actually cleaned. Our Top to Bottom Deluxe cleaning service is typically used by first-time customers or customers looking for deep annual cleaning. The general cleaning is usually a maintenance cleaning for our recurring customers.

Do I have to provide you with a key or garage code?2021-02-12T16:17:45+00:00

As a company, we have a policy to not keep keys in our possession. We would rather you provide us with a code that we can use for entry. If not possible, we ask that you have a lockbox that we can access for entry.

What if Golden Maid’s employees cannot get in?2021-02-12T16:18:00+00:00

If we cannot get in, you will be charged 50 percent of your regular quote. We will make an effort to come on another day, but we cannot promise you will get the same housekeeper.

Do I get to choose when I get service?2021-02-12T16:18:39+00:00

We make every effort to accommodate your schedule.  We can work together to find something that works for you.
