Wauwatosa is one of the Milwaukee area’s favorite small cities. The city was settled in 1835 and in 1836, the United States Road went through town going from Milwaukee to Madison. The town’s biggest feature for over 70 years was Hart’s Mill, built on the banks of the Menominee River. It stood as a symbol of the town from 1845 to 1914.
Today, nearly 44,000 souls call the great city on the Menominee home. The median family income is $68,000 and is home to lots of great families.
One of the biggest attractions in the city is Mayfair Mall with nationally recognized anchor stores and a great movie theater. Home to a diverse population, restaurants and grocery stores that feature the cuisines from the whole world can be found in Wauwatosa.
